Berth soundings for the Port of Vancouver were collected during 2005, with the exception of Canada Place (2004) and Roberts Bank (2003), and will be updated as new information becomes available. There are three versions of the soundings charts available. ‘Non-colour-coded’ soundings charts include depth contours and numbers representing depths in metres below chart datum and are best for printing in black and white. ‘Colour-coded’ charts supplement the regular charts with a shaded red to blue background (red = shallow, blue = deep). ‘Orthophoto’ charts supplement the regular charts with an aerial photo background. The ‘Colour-coded’ and ‘Orthophoto’ charts are a better choice for colour printing.

soundings charts are published in Adobe PDF format and are optimized for
printing on 11x17 (ledger) paper. From
