| CLARIFICATIONS ON ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS | The VPA has extended the deadline dates for Opacity and Truck Age requirements.
- License holders now have until March 31, 2008 to submit opacity test results.
- License holders now have until March 31, 2008 to submit and receive approval on truck age exemption applications.

| OPACITY TESTING | Starting in January 2008, trucks must undergo and pass annual engine exhaust opacity testing. Random tests may also be conducted periodically. | AGE EXCEPTIONS PROCESS | As of January 1, 2008, the Port will no longer allow access on port property to container trucks older than 1989. However, truck owners may qualify for an exemption to the age restriction. Please click on the following link to see if you qualify for an exemption and how to apply for an exception.

| NOTICE TO CONTAINER TRUCKING COMPANIES RE: NEW TRUCK LICENSE SYSTEM (TLS) TERMS AND CONDITIONS | Please click below to read the notice on the new truck license system (TLS) terms and conditions:
New terms and conditions NOTICE
PLEASE NOTE: All companies will be required to confirm their acknowledgement of the new terms and conditions. The amended License Agreement will be available on-line as of Friday, August 3, 2007. Licensees will have 30 days to acknowledge the License Agreement.
Registered companies must acknowledge the amended License Agreement by 23:59 hours on September 2, 2007.
INSTRUCTIONS:
To accept the License Agreement, go to http://www.pacificgatewayportal.com/tlsportal/ and log in. You will be prompted to "acknowledge" or "read later" the new terms and conditions to the License Agreement.
Note: You do not need to sign and fax back the License Agreement. If you have acknowledged the new terms and conditions upon logging in, you have electronically accepted the License Agreement. An electronic confirmation of your acknowledgement will automatically be sent to the VPA.
The VPA will contact your company if your acknowledgement has not been received prior to the September 2nd deadline. Please do not call the VPA to check for confirmation of your acknowledgement.
New TLS Applications: All trucks wishing to access Lower Mainland ports must have a valid TLS truck license. Only on-line applications will be accepted. You can apply for a TLS License on-line at www.pacificgatewayportal.com/TLSPortal. Please contact the TLS Administrator, Vancouver Port Authority, if you have any questions. Preferred method of contact is email at tls@portvancouver.com. If you have specific questions, please leave a detailed message at 604-665-9333.
